Time magazine selected Joyce as one of the most influential evangelical leaders in America.

  2. How did Joyce Meyer Ministries get started?
    • Joyce Meyer began teaching the Word of God in 1976 and entered full-time ministry in 1980. She started by developing, coordinating and teaching a weekly meeting as an associate pastor in a church in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2003 the ministry’s name was changed to Joyce Meyer Ministries and the television, radio and magazine titles were changed to Enjoying Everyday Life.

  3. What does Joyce Meyer Ministries do?
    • Joyce Meyer Ministries is committed to teaching the practical truths of the Bible and meeting the needs of people around the world. Simply put, our goal is to help hurting people. Whether it’s sharing the life-changing truth of God’s Word through conferences, television, radio, the Internet and the printed word, or reaching out to people through our many humanitarian efforts, we strive to do all that we can to help those who need it.

For more information view our Annual Report.

  4. Is Joyce Meyer a televangelist?
    • It’s understandable why someone would consider Joyce a televangelist, since she uses television—among other media—to teach. But Joyce considers herself a practical Bible teacher who shows people how to apply God’s Word to their everyday life.

  5. Is Joyce Meyer an ordained minister?
    • Joyce was ordained over 25 years ago. She has a worldwide congregation through the Enjoying Everyday Life television and radio programs. Joyce speaks regularly at public conferences in the United States and around the world. She also preaches occasionally at the St. Louis Dream Center church, an inner-city outreach of Joyce Meyer Ministries.

    • Joyce and Joyce Meyer Ministries are nondenominational.

  13. Is Joyce Meyer Ministries a "word of faith" ministry?
    • Joyce Meyer Ministries believes in the Word of God. Joyce teaches that God has made promises to us in His Word and as believers, we should trust His promises (see 2 Peter 1:3,4 ). However, it can be damaging when people place their faith in faith alone instead of placing their faith in God. Misappropriation of God’s promises solely for personal gain is not scripturally supported.

For more information, view our Statement of Faith.

  14. Does Joyce Meyer Ministries teach a "prosperity gospel"?
    • Joyce Meyer Ministries believes that God desires to bless His people. Joyce teaches that God’s blessings and prosperity apply to the spiritual, emotional, physical and financial areas of life. These blessings and prosperity are then to be used to bless others (see Genesis 12:2). A “prosperity gospel” that solely equates blessing with financial gain is out of balance and could damage a person’s walk with God.

For more information, view our Statement of Faith.

  16. Does the Enjoying Everyday Life broadcast conform to the CALM Act?

  19. May I speak to or pray with Joyce? Will she personally read my letter?
    • This has been one of the most challenging things for Joyce. She would love to be able to read every individual letter and personally speak with and pray for all those who call or write the ministry. However, because of time constraints, her many responsibilities and her desire to stay faithful to God and focused on His call for her life, she is not able to respond personally to the many requests she receives. If you are in need of prayer, please contact our office at (800) 727-9673, and one of our staff members who will pray with you.
